Each Monday at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, the weekly diesel fuel price can be obtained by calling the "Energy Information Administration" Hotline at (202) 586-6966 or to their website http://tonto.eia.doe.gov/oog/info/wohdp/diesel_detail_report_combined.asp. The national average diesel price will be used to determine the cents per mile charge as noted below and will be in addition to the line haul rate; the fuel surcharge will become effective on Tuesday of that week (except if Monday is a National Holiday, then it will be Wednesday) and will be effective for the following seven (7) day period.

The fuel surcharge will be added to all motor freight charges in connection with shipments subject to rates and charges as established between the Carrier/Broker and Company for line-haul transportation and charges for other transportation services performed by Carrier/Broker, which consume fuel.
